Found Footgage Files 008: Poughkeepsie Tapes, The Upper Footage and Defending Found Footage

This episode we look at two documentary style films. The first, a horror/serial killer movie from 2007 called The Poughkeepsie Tapes follows a grisly trail of murders through tapes the actual killer shot on his own camera. The second, a crime/thriller called The Upper Footage (2013), follows a group of young socialites through an evening of drinking, drugs and covering up the death of a young woman in their company.

Between the two reviews, Boss and Kelly discuss a You Tube documentary called How The Found-Footage Genre Poisons Cinema, by Paul Zamarelli on his channel called Horror Is Dead. We, of course, disagree with the viewpoint of this documentary, and expand the conversation to include our counterpoint to the vocal film fans who seem to hate most modern horror.

Thanks for listening to and spreading the word about the podcast! We very much appreciate it!
