Found Footage Files 029: Area 51 and Marble Hornets

Glad to be back, and be able to share my observations of Oren Peli’s Area 51 with you! This film has been tied up for a few years, and has finally seen the light of day. Went to my local Alamo Drafthouse theater to watch this film, and report on my findings! Also, I take a tip from listener Erica (aka @WordSplicer on Twitter) and begin to go through the You Tube found footage series Marble Hornets starting with this episode! Be sure to check out the links below, and as always, thanks for your support and interaction! Talk to you next week!

Found Footage Files 003: Cloverfield and Special Guest Jillian Clare

Welcome to our third episode! We were thrilled to get the chance to talk with Actress Jillian Clare of Alien Abduction, which we covered in our debut episode. Jillian shared stories from behind the scenes of that film, as well as her experiences on Days of Our Lives, her volunteer work with animal rescues and her new role in an interactive theatre experience like none other: Delusion: Lies Within! We know you are going to become a fan of this friendly and talented actress!

For our featured film this episode we take a look at J.J. Abrams’ Cloverfield (2008). The discussion covers this giant monster movie, and we compare films like this one, with a huge budget to the smaller budget independents presented in the handheld camera style. We also touch on our memories of 9/11 after viewing this film. Thank you for listening and please share the podcast with people you know who enjoy found footage films!

Found Footage Files 001: Alien Abduction

Welcome to the debut episode of Found Footage Files! Hosts Boss Butcher and Kelly Killbot begin their search through this controversial film style, to find the best and worst the genre has to offer. This will be a bi-weekly podcast, which will be released on Wednesdays. We hope you enjoy our efforts, and we look forward to hearing from you, our listeners! (contact info below)

For our first episode we chose a film directed by Matty Beckerman called Alien Abduction (2014). It follows a family on a camping trip to North Carolina’s Brown Mountains and their experiences as recorded by their autistic son.
